Dear Fades fan,
We really appreciate you following the band and for you to have liked or followed any of our pages is already a massive and much appreciated commitment.
We’re gearing up to release a new record and we want to tell it like it is……
We have no record label; we have no-one working for us in that regard. Everything we do is 100% DIY.
We will be releasing this new record ourselves.
Paying for the recording studio time, mixing, mastering, manufacturing, promo, plugging, distribution, and everything else that comes with trying to get a record out and do something with it.
We know we don’t have to do it. We don’t have to release or make records, but we really want to. Some people go and play golf, or go on holiday, go to the football, or get absolutely shitfaced every weekend. We mainly choose to try and be in a band. The weekly rehearsals are our ‘going to the pub/football/playing golf’ etc.
We love spending time together making music. It gives us a sense of self-worth and in these troubled times it makes us feel alright with the world against all the odds.
Times are tough right now. Times are tough for everyone, and we know that music might not be a top priority for all.
So, what we’re trying to say is that we really appreciate any help we can get. Something as simple as following us on Spotify/Apple Music/Tidal or whatever streaming service you use, liking our pages on the socials and sharing or liking posts, is worth so much to us and takes so little from you.
On top of that - buying or listening to our music is the best of all. For the price of a pint, you can buy one of our records. For the cost of 3 minutes of your time, you can stream one.
Any of these things are massively helpful to us, not only due to any minimal financial reward, but even more so in personal achievement. A little ‘like’ can make a big difference.
These are the things that can get our music noticed. More likes and follows means more chance of playlists and people hearing the music. More people hearing the music means more offers of gigs, radio plays, syncs and much more. All from a simple click of a button.
And this all means that we can go some way towards helping pay all our debts for the record and hopefully make more.
We will be gearing up for the new record release very soon and we really hope you can help us get as much out of it as we think it deserves.
Thank you again for all your support - big love to you all.
